Bryan Martello Part-Time Instructor

Bryan Martello is an artist who likes making pictures and sewing. He has been teaching art and photography since 2016. His work seeks to gather, curate, manipulate, and document a personal lexicon that explores pride, gender, and personal history. Bryan currently lives and works in Pittsburgh PA where he teaches at Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh, and the International Center of Photography. Before moving to Pittsburgh, Bryan lived in New York City, Austin, Boston, and a brief stint in Iceland as a tour guide for a lava cave. He has a BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and an MFA from the University of Texas at Austin. He attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and was an artist in residence at the NARS Foundation. Bryan currently lives with his husband Jason and beloved dog Jasper.
