Two photographs titled "Putting on Label" and "Apollo Orange Moon" by Devin DePamphilis, a senior at the University of Pittsburgh in the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences, were chosen as a finalist and semi-finalist for the distinguished 14th annual Taste Awards photography competition. The photography awards category is an international juried photography contest celebrating photography about food, fashion, or travel. This year was the third consecutive Taste Award win for the economics major and studio arts minor.

Often called "The Oscars of Food, Fashion and Lifestyle Media," the Taste Awards are Beverly Hills' premier broadcast awards show, celebrating the year's best achievements in food, fashion, health, travel, and lifestyle programs on television, in film, in online and streaming video, on radio and in podcasts and photography.
