Devin DePamphilis, a senior in the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences, was awarded the illustration category finalist prize in the College Photographer of the Year (CPOY) for his photograph titled "Drug Overdose Epidemic."  The CPOY competition selected DePamphilis for the second consecutive year as a winner. DePamphilis is an economics major with a studio arts minor.

In its 77th year, the international competition was hosted by the University of Missouri and sponsored by Nikon, Inc.  Nearly 10,000 images and multimedia projects were entered by 570 student photographers from 127 colleges and universities in a record-breaking 42 countries.  In total, there were 79 winners across 18 categories of photography.
