Pitt Day of Giving

You've probably heard about Pitt Day of Giving coming up on February 25. This year, if 50 supporters give to the Department of Studio Arts Visiting Artists Series, we will receive an additional $2,000 in support from Kathleen Blee, Betty J. and Ralph E. Bailey Dean of the Dietrich School.

Our Visiting Artist Series will introduce nationally and internationally recognized artists to our department's students (and the broader university community). Students will engage directly with a diverse range of professional artists and cultural leaders at various stages in their career. The series will provide close interaction between students and visitors during discussions and workshops offering insight into creative approaches and methods for maintaining an arts practice. Students will be able to forge new relationships with professional artists and their work, as well as arts-related leaders beyond Pittsburgh. Visitors will bring new ideas, practices, and conversations into the department, while also offering a variety of career-path models.

Please join us in seeding our Vising Artist Series through the Pitt Day of Giving campaign, which will help make this lecture series the best it can be for our students.

Addionally, because of Dean Blee's challenge, if you would like to make your Pitt Day of Giving gift early, you can do so here.

Every gift makes a difference!
