Friday, April 12, 2019 at 3pm

The Department of Physics and Astronomy Artist in Residence Program provides undergraduate and graduate students in the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences with an opportunity to submit research projects that respond to physics and astronomy research from visual arts, literary, film, performance, music composition, and design perspectives. Currently open to English, film studies, music, studio arts, theatre arts, and architectural studies majors and minors, the program allows students to embed themselves in a Department of Physics and Astronomy research lab or group to envision and produce a response that connects to the scientific research. Once selected, the artists/composers spend time each week with the research group and create a unique work, body of work, composition, or set of compositions in response.
