Paolo Piscitelli’s work, right from the start influenced by the atmosphere of the Arte Povera movement, has been characterized by a broad range of techniques and disciplines including sculpture, drawing, installation, digital media, phenomenological experimentation with materials and their interaction with time as well as with life.  His current research investigates tactile exploration, physical and emotional memory in relation to artistic labour and other agents such as objects, raw materials, and places.

Paolo Piscitelli has exhibited internationally in private spaces like Studio Tucci Russo in Torre Pellice (Italy), and Galerie Paul Andriesse, Amsterdam (Netherlands), e/static, Turin (Italy) as well as in public spaces like Torino‘s Galleria d’Arte Modena, Bologna’s Galleria D’arte Moderna, the FRAC-Bourgogne in Dijon (France), the MLAC, Museum of Contemporary Art, La Sapienza University in Rome, Lawndale Art Center, Houston, TX, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin (Itlay) and the Museum of Art in Denver, CO.
