Aly Jouejati is a visual artist based in

Statement
My video work for the last year communicates
my feelings about being at home during the pandemic. I often felt frustrated
because of the pandemic’s impact on my life - particularly the limited amount
of movement, and stress about the uncertainty of the future. I visualize what
looking at a screen 24/7 and not being outside felt like to me by using imagery
of windows, nature and the passing of time. The sudden need to appear in front
of people through the camera of my laptop created a sense of anxiousness within
myself and about my self-image. My works contain aspects of collage and the use
of dual screens to show the audience a visual
interpretation of my mind by invoking the feelings of a scattered mind.
