Paolo Piscitelli Exhibits Sculpture at Germinale Monferrato Art Fest 2026 in Italy

Teaching Associate Professor Paolo Piscitelli is exhibiting his sculpture as part of Germinale Monferrato Art Fest 2026, a contemporary art festival taking place throughout the Lower Monferrato region of Italy from September 11 through October 4, 2026.

The exhibition explores the geological and cultural identity of Monferrato, a landscape shaped by its geological past as the floor of an ancient sea. At the center of the project is marl, a sedimentary material composed primarily of clay and limestone that preserves traces of the region's prehistoric marine environment. Piscitelli's participation connects his sculptural practice, which emphasizes direct carving and the physical relationship between artist, material, and landscape, with the festival's broader investigation of geological memory and place.
