Juried by Hilary D. Gent, this exhibition asks artists to take Walt Whitman’s lines, “What stays with you latest and deepest? of curious panics, Of hard-fought engagements or sieges tremendous what deepest remains?” into their own lives, and consider what part of themselves will not, cannot die. What remains essential to who you are? Is there a core strength, a wisdom or spirit that even the darkest defeat cannot destroy.
