POPUP1600

Pop Up 1600 showcases the work of the first Senior Seminar class offered by the Studio Arts Department. During the fall semester, SA1600 experienced a non-traditional learning environment; engaging in the art community of Pittsburgh, learning how to establish an exhibition and gallery, and even aiding in the installation of public works. For their own artistic practices, the class was challenged to create work that bridged their current artistic practices into new areas – materially and conceptually. Pop Up 1600 is curated by the students under the guidance of Professor Aaron Henderson.
