Activated Anamorphs: Performance at Phipps Conservatory

Fragile Ecologies (Studio Arts, University of Pittsburgh) and Activated Anamorphs (School of Art, Carnegie Mellon University) present wearable sculpture-based performances that address our ever-changing environment. 

These costumed performances alter, augment, mask, and transform the body and its inherent abilities by investigating new ways to interact with our physical and imagined worlds. By investigating the Phipps flora, performers expand on ideas of adaptation, translation, modification, and mutation of the human body through participatory interactions with the audience.
