Derek LaBar

Physics, mathematics, and geometry have always been the starting and ending place of the work of Derek LaBar. LaBar use 3 dimensional premade material, adding onto or taking away from that material, to exaggerate the space around the structure. Derek is always aware of light as part of my work and incorporate it into the forms and space. Photography is an intrinsic part of how his concepts are connected to the physical world and the people in it, as he mostly uses the human form in his images.
