Studio Arts Major Wins Big at Carnegie Museum



Studio Arts Major Imaan Saeed's work "Dual Identifies" won first prize in the youth visual arts category of the Carnegie Museum's “Envisioning a Just Pittsburgh” competition. This call for diverse art that “encouraged artists throughout southwestern Pennsylvania to share their visions for a just and equitable Pittsburgh.” A joint venture between Carnegie Museums, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, 1Hood Media, the August Wilson African American Cultural Center, and the University of Pittsburgh, this artist competition included categories in performance, literary, interdisciplinary, and visual arts.
