Julie Stunden, part-time instructor
Julie Stunden received her BFA in painting from Indiana University and an MFA in painting from Yale University. Her current work indulges in both abstract and figurative manifestations. Stunden's visual work is in constant pursuit of color poetics and luminosity. The challenge of finding “tangy” solutions to perceptual images has been at the core of what motivates and inspires her work. Stunden has ongoing projects for commissioned portraits as well as commissioned abstractions. In December 2006, she completed a commissioned installation of 42 paintings for the local corporate headquarters of Czarnowski Exhibition Specialists in Pittsburgh.
