SA 1455 Painting - Landscape

This course will explore varied painting techniques that can be used in the depiction and interpretation of landscapes. Through a series of related assignments, students will be exposed to color mixing, underpainting, glazing, and impasto techniques used in oil painting. Painting will be executed outdoors on the grounds and nearby park areas surrounding the Frick Fine Arts Building, although some course work will be done indoors.
