Kate Joranson activates the intersection of art-making and the often gendered labor of teaching, caregiving, and service work. She constructs situations where she and her collaborators produce works through this labor, such as her Curiosity Archive, and documents found marks and forms that result from other people's labor, such as photographs of concrete repairs. She is currently exploring the intimacy of collaborative drawing with her 8 year old daughter.
